Tripped out funky flashback to the 60s before Haight Ashbury got known and in the head of a Chinese American young man who just graduated from Berkeley with a degree in English and Theater. Reading this will make you laugh, laugh, laugh, while giving you some truth that might be otherwise hard to handle.

This is one of my favourite works of fiction. The author achieved something very rare with this book: a protagonist who seems so real that you want to invite him to your birthday party. It may be the only time I've ever REALLY felt like a character in a book was my friend.

No matter how I tried, I could not stay interested in this book. I may retry when I am in a different mood.
