Un libro difícil, pero indispensable. Polifonía experimental. En un estilo complicado, pero muy original, desentraña los secretos íntimos de una familia sureña en USA, bajo un trasfondo bíblico propio de Faulkner.

This book is very confusing at times more so when Benjy is narrating. Had to go back a re-read some pages. Quintin's narration is a little easier but his flow of consciousness and run on sentences make it somewhat difficult. Faulkner uses more italics to differentiate time than he does with Benjy. Jason and Dilsey's sections are pretty straight forward with Dilsey being the final...more

September Twenty-fourth, 2009 Turning the pages, reading between the lines, I could understand any given paragraph at a time. When I tried to read more than one paragraph it got ugly. It was about the same people, members of the Compson family, and sometimes about people with the same name as other people. Have you ever felt like there was just too much going on to keep up with? Like the whole world was just reams of observations that there didn't seem to be any real point to? Faulkner knows what you're experiencing.
