Great book! Respect to the works of Darwin and facinating accounts of the Galapagos Islands.

Very detailed. I was expecting more philosophy of science, or at least more of the day to day activities of how the Grants lived when they were on the Galapagos. Read it for my book club at the public library.

An essential book of science for those of a non-scientific bent. The book documents the fact of evolution in an engaging,lucid and absolutely convincing way. For me, this beautifully written book plumbs the deep mechanics of life on Earth and leaves me blinking in wonderment at nature revealed.

An excellent read if you are interesting in learning more about Darwin. I learned more about Finches than I ever wanted - thankfully, I also learned a lot about the science of evolution.
