Interesting at times, very introspective but it lacks the drive of a good science fiction story and jumps too often into the author's own agnostic ideas.

I don't understand the separation society makes between Sci-fi novelists and philosophers. I think the former are actually much more adapt to the nature of the universe as they are less bound by dogma (at least initially - they're simply not searching for reality). I read this book twice and the second time I did it made perfect sense, and there was a somewhat controlled nervous breakdown (that’s how it was described to me, at least) in the middle. No suicide of anyone involved though, fortunately, and the martyr approach is a very stupid one anyways. This book should only be sold inside a giant Chinese Finger Trap. With, like, a scary clown face on it or something. Seriously.   hide
