Shiloh: A Novel

I liked the writing style, but got a little confused as the author kept switching back and forth from North to South. Great detail and great heart.

Some must read this before Red Badge of Courage, as a good intro.

Shelby Foote is one of my favorite Civil War Authors.A very detailed account of the Battle of Shiloh.A great read!

Great little book on a horrible time. My ancesters fought for the Union at Shiloh and My wifes family fought on the South at Shiloh. Her relative was killed the first day. BFoote is the greatest when writting about the Civil War
