The story's a good one, but man oh man it was easy for me to get lost in those sentences that lasted 2 or 3 pages! I read one out loud to see if it made more sense that way, and I got winded before I made it to the end.
If you have any interest in English writing you have to read Faulkner. He's sometimes hard to read. This book has a good storyline that holds you and enables you to appreciate the sometimes difficult sentences.
Personally, I recommend this as your first Faulkner reading. You can really grasp his gift of language, image and character when enveloped in such a riveting plot. Also, highly recommended to Grisham fans.
