If Sarah Palin wants to hold a public office other than Gov, she should read this book. Then read it again. Another must for anyone interested in Africa. Sarah Palin might enjoy it, but it has a lot of big words, so she may need a translator.

Deals with essential factors such as climate and ecology to describe how Africa ended up where it is. However, some parts of the book are only tempting for scholars and the content needs an update as it was originally written in mid 90s.

In addition, Guns, Germs and Steel by Jerrod...more

I really like the details, and the explinations. For every observation there is a clear explination which makes the whole book a lovely read. Great overview of African history, from the very very begining!
