muito bom - e muito difÃ­cil! Existencialismo Ã© um pouco indigesto para mim. Ã‰ muito pessoal, direto e cru. NÃ£o Ã© algo que eu consiga ler em momentos de stress ou depressÃ£o, poe exemplo.

One man tries to kill his cats to prove to himself that he is remorseless. An aging jazz singer hordes her money in a suitcase and chases younger men. And Mathieu, the hero, wonders if freedom is anything more than a collection of bad habits.

Trust me: there's a little bit of Mathieu in all of us.

I really enjoyed this book. 
Freedom will forever remain elusive, like a mirage. Hurtling after it only gives us a false sense of purpose and in the end we end up being the victim of our own device and left to annihilate, reduced to accept reality and its unceremonious existence.Who better to tell it other than Sartre?This book is a gem!

quite a funny reading written in a typical french hysterical mode.)) if French literature is new for you, you will enjoy this novel and it might even become a revelation...but I was personally sometimes a bit bored. Even though I should admit that Camus is even more boring
