To repeat one reviewer, this is an "Atom bomb of a book." Some say this biography is biased. It's true the author may conclude that Mao is a monster, but it seems to be based on a ton of research. If only half of it is true, he's still a sociopath of the worst kind - the kind that manouevers himself into absolute power. It takes a while to get through, but it's worth it....

I'm still left with a burning question...how did he get away with it all?
