Well written and very disturbing. Glad I read it at least once; but I'm not in the mood to read it often.

only book i read from this guy...intense nihilism and streaks of innocence. i want to read everything from this guy now. he is immense.

I haven't actually connected this was Mishima until I suddenly found myself disturbed and revolted to my very soul. And yet this book is genius. Hedonism and objectivism and its best, made all the more terrifying as seen through the eyes of disillusioned, soulless children. This novel makes a powerful statement of what it means to discover the beliefs that drive you, the result of copying another's passions and customs and the lengths some will go to in order to maintain what they believe is true.

Awesome to read after seeing the Holywood version.
