So intriguing and so fascinating!!! This book is absolutely crazy and gets you very curious to see where Mirakami is going with all his characters and the other world realm.

Better than "Wild Sheep Chase"

As I was reaching the end of this book I was already packing my suitcase to move permanently to tokyo. The best hard-boiled fusion detective story this side of the 21st century.

Definitely a good read. Explores on good themes while at the same time gives the kind of chill to the readers. One of a kind!

Not Murakami's best, you should start with Hardboiled Wonderland or Kafka on the Shore, but still a fantastic book. One word "Captivating"....

sheepman. hookers. b-actors. and the dance that we all try to learn every day. murakami's mindnumbing transcendental looks at everyday life makes you believe. this write reminded me of "wind-up bird..." at almost every page, which was both a plus and a minus. in the end it was a great read.

Great! Surrealism at its best!

Picked this on up randomly at the airport's book shop. Turned out to be a good choice -- I enjoyed Murakami's noir-meets-metaphysical storytelling.
