Every story left me completely frustrated at the end.  I kept reading though and enjoy the way Munro writes.  Good stories, I was just annoyed at some of the endings, but I guess that's what short stories are all about aren't they?

Loved, loved, loved it. The stories are compelling. I don't know what her technique is, but you read along without realizing you have been drawn into a narrative you didn't see coming. I read each story slowly, savouring the density of the words, then read it again, and perhaps again.

This was my introduction to Alice Munro and her wonderful short stories.  I have since read most everything else she has written.  She is absolutely one of my all-time favorite writers.

A collection of short stories. She has a wonderful imagination to be able to create that many different characters of women. It was ok. In my opinion nothing exciting.

A set of well written unrelated short stories about women's lives in and around Carstairs Canada. The stories take place in different periods of time, well done Alice Munro!
