Excellent. The first book I've ever read by a lawyer, and I was really struck by the analytical style.

Roberts sheds light on the history of reproductive abuse on black women, as well as how that abuse led to their exclusion of these women from the reproductive rights movement. Her goal is to create an inclusive movement that can be used to further the pro-rights movement both legally and socially.

One of the best books I have ever read. This book literally changed my life. Dorothy Roberts completely transformed the way I view race in the U.S. and I truly believe I would not be on the path that I'm on now if I hadn't read it.
