great book loved every min of it.

I've always had issues with the image Guevara. I never have thought of the man as a successful revolutionary leader. He was well read in Marxist and socialist theory, but failed at implementing change on a national scale or initiating revolution in the Congo and Bolivia. The book was decent, but I just don't understand why anyone would want to put this guy on a t-shirt.

This is the real story captured by one of the most talented latin american historians. Great read.

Generally good. Castaneda is fairly cynical, but there's a lot of useful information here if you're not put off by the author's mindless anti-communism.

It gives a reader an insight into the complexitites of Che's friendship with Fidel Castro, his ideology, and his part in the Cuban Revolution. One of the biographical works on Che Guevara that I have enjoyed the most. Far from idealizations, with deep scholarship and very good historical interpretation. Highly recommended.
