Clear and concise explanation on modern evolutionary psychology. The author uses real life examples of Darwin himself to demonstrate how moral behavior might have evolved and what benefits morals added to evolutionary success. It is a compelling argument against the monopoly religion claims to hold on moral behavior

As is traditional for Wright's books, I loved the main part of it and almost gave it five stars, but then found some of the thinking at the end to be too muddled for me to give that extra star in good conscience. Still, highly recommended.

Opened my eyes in a way no other book has since maybe Pinker's "The Blank Slate". It was a 'pop the red pill and plunge down the rabbit-hole' experience. Can't recommend it enough!

I recommend this book only to those people who are interested in Evolutionary Theory. I find it fascinating even if I do not agree with everything that is said in the book. A lot of things written do open my mind to different possibilities however. I own this book, and enjoy it.

This was a really interesting but sort of nihilistic read. Sometimes some of the author's observations seem a bit obvious, but reading them all together and seeing case studies is still interesting. I don't agree with the entire book, but then again, it is nice when you don't agree with all of a book since it really makes you think more about it!
