Hearburn was light and funny with pinch of soul. It made a good tent read which is where I read most of it.

Funny and vengeful.

Loved the movie....Now I'm hitting the book.

Heartburn has everything: comedy,sadness, recipes that sound like the real thing, monologues,drama. A bittersweet take on the end of a marriage. recipes, comedy, heartbreak. What more could you want?

Nora Ephron does quirky, neurotic charm effortlessly. She's famous for her screenplays: When Harry Met Sally, You've Got Mail, Sleepless in Seattle. Would it translate in a novel? Heartburn. It's funny, you root for the leading lady, but, you know those great little zingers she throws in her on-screen dialogues? Somehow it doesn't work as well in a first-person...more
