Wasn't entirely convinced by the flashforwards to the 70s, though I could see that Faulks was trying to show how we are all linked to the past. Sadly, after a great ending to Stephen's WW1 story, the final sequence set in the 70s is a rather corny let down. However, would def recommend (just be prepared for the sex scenes, which got me slightly squirmy while reading on the bus!).
