Dickens is probably my favorite classic author. I usually read at least one of his books during the winter and this was one of my all time favorites.

Good read of course - it's Dickens!! Nothing extraordinary. Same old story. Tough childhood. Learning how to survive, Imaginary friend - acceptance of denial. Reaching for the stars... blah blah - boring, heard it before, lived it and survived it. Personally, as a foreigner I absolutely love the archaic english used in ALL Dickens novels - defo I have improved my english thx...more

Was forced to read this at school, aged 11. Bored stiff! No idea whether I'd enjoy it now but I've been put off it for life.
