The first time I read this book I thought; "Whoa! Talk about your way different kinda Dr. Seuss!!" It is absolutely NOTHING like his usual books. This one is the kind of book I wish I’d been given by my parents while I was in school, then whenever I started feeling down about where life was going I could’ve cracked this one open to get a lift. I completely, totally, and...more

I'll have to admit, this is a recent acquisition from my parents as a highschool graduation gift (not that anyone should ever need an excuse like graduation to read Dr. Seus). I just love this story, its so simple yet inspiring. As a graduate, it sinks in deep, but as child, it still has meaning and urges you onward towards whatever.

The book, like all of Dr. Suess's books, is written for and enjoyed by children, but any person who has gone out on his or her own can enjoy the message of this book. My kids love it, but it's every bit as moving (maybe more so) for teenagers, college students and adults.
