I didn't think I was going to like this one at first but it drew me in. I think the fact that it had no chapters or anything helped move the book along, and it is a very short book, 127 pages. As the synopsis said, it is very simple, just the one story, yet the old man has a wealth of background behind him. The characters are well defined and the descriptions are very vivid.
