Good As Gold

Joseph Heller is again showing that his career did not start/finish with "Catch 22". His intelligent wits makes a fine roundup to this book too! Read it!

Very funny, in parts. Some of the characters are insanely preposterous, or maybe just insane. It's hard to tell, but that is kind of the point.Maybe not USA's answer to "Yes, Minister" but it is as close as I've seen.

Possibily Heller's best after Catch-22.

A worthwhile read I suppose, but it pales in comparison to Catch 22. I found it didn't really flow, and even though it's relatively short it took me ages to read.

I am an avid reader, and had enjoyed Heller's novel "Goodbye, Columbus" immensely. This tale however has the dubious distinction of being the only novel in my life that I absolutely could NOT finish -- and the first one I ever threw away. Horrible, plotless, and filled with angst. Worse, it was boring. Don't waste your time/
