Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day

Ostensibly written for children, I think it was meant for all of us! A useful reminder when we are having a bad day, that they happen even in Australia (much as we would like to think that we could run there)!

I'm sorry, but I just can't get past the lack of commas in this book. I can't stand reading it aloud. Even after reading it so many dozens of times, I still can't remember where to pause. Every sentence sounds like a run-on and it's intolerable. Damn Judith Viorst!

This was my absolute favorite book when I was little.
