I dug this wonderful book out of my childhood book collection to reread and remembered why it has always been among my favorites. The heroine is who I dreamed of being, if I could have been less shy as a child. She's brilliant, clever, and driven to be independent, and she's also good at solving mysteries, too. I plan to read this yet again in the near future!
Another book to adore and occasionally revisit. The main character is my namesake, and her brother's stinginess is a spitting image of my own sister [haha]. Their will to 'learn something new everyday' is also something I live by. Their adventure is nicely intertwined with the mystery of the Michelangelo statue. It's a very pleasant read that I'd recommend any day to anyone.
I remember checking this book out from the library thinking to myself, this looks good. Little did I know how fantastic the book would be. I finished it so quickly, I had time to read it to my little brother, who did not always approve of my reading choices(I liked reading out loud; he didn't care for it so much).
