I was very pleased with this book. It was the reality of a boy who learned how to survive. In the beginning it started a little slow, but got moving right after that. I've loved this book ever since the fifth-grade.

I have always really enjoyed Hatchet - ever since I first read it in the fifth-grade. It was a nice summer, quick read to get my mind off of things. Plus, it makes for a great book to use for an elementary/middle school classroom project.

this book is so well-written. I didn't think I'd actually enjoy it, but I definitely got sucked in. I think I read this when I was in 4th grade, so it was definitely awhile ago!
