Tally has always wanted to be oretty and she got her wish. She meets this guy Zane and they fall in love. Croy brings the leisons cure to Tally and she gives one pill to Zane. When they go to the New Smokies Tally has another adventure of her life, and when Zane is sick and Special Circumstances comes Tally has to choose Zane or David.

Introducing great new characters and returning favorites, Westerfeld continues the exciting story of Tally Youngblood in Pretties. Fast-paced and full of action, romance, and betrayal, it kept me turning the pages for more. In this book, you start to learn more about what it means to be a "Pretty". I'm anixous to read Specials. This is by far a favorite series of mine.

An unexpected sequel to the first book, Uglies. Still surprisingly in depth for a book for teens. The main character is under a lot of strain. Being pulled in two different directions, but the two choices I think could have been explored more in a more in depth way. Although, that probably would have made the book a couple hundred pages longer. Not in a bad way though, long books are always good....more

I think Scott Westerfeld should have taken more time with this one and really explored all the sides of this futuristic society and government. I cant' wait to read the third book though! I think I will be exploring more of Scott Westerfelds books. He's pretty good.   hide

This book was horrible. I read it for an English assignment and I absolutely hated it! I guess it's just not my kind of book. First of all, the "magical new world" implied was unrealistic, and a good author could make it realistic but instead we couldn't feel the connection at all. A satisfying sequel to Uglies, introducing new characters, and the secret to why Tally came back.

The language was kind of annoying, but overall it was very good and I cant wait to read the next one in the series!
