This book is a truly awfuly written book but you've got to keep on reading it because the plot is so gripping + you want to know what happens next. Dan Brown's style is so simple, it is as if a twelve year old has written it + he states the bleeding obvious, sometimes coming accross as patronising, or contemptuous of his reader. Will he go down in history as a literary giant? Probably not. The writing is almost child-like in places, but as with all his books, it's the story that reels you in and keeps you going. Well researched, fantastic pacing, and while it may all have been borrowed from elsewhere, Brown still makes you feel like he's telling it for the first time. Please, please remember this is a work of fiction....more

hehe, I have to agree with Ruth above here. Not good as literature, simpleminded author. I couldnt even finish it, so boring. - contrary to many others i really thought it should be good enough as a B-movie anyway. but that was so boring I feel asleep. One of the most OVERRATED books Ive heard about. and sorry Dan Brown, but as a writer, You stink.
