A fun Chicago crime thriller that takes place in many of the places I see, work, and eat near every day. I read it in one long car trip and loved the pulpiness this added to my daily routine. Heard the author, Harvey, on NPR last Sunday and was reminded I had read and lent this book out so fast I had almost forgotten how fast it had passed so quickly through my hands on to the next reader. Harvey had a good point for any writer in the interview, ie, set your own deadline and hit it. I'm looking forward to more follow ups that put a noire spin on contemporary Chicago.   hide
