the south and her secrets come to life again in an urban setting. These character love and trust one another creating interactions based on moral and social charcterizations.
I LOVE Walter Mosley books. Read most of them and enjoyed them. Walter has a way of drawing u into his books. My favorite character is Mouse; he does what he says. This is a must read.
This is one were I thought the movie was better than the book. That does not happen often. Where I would watch the movie again I would pass on re-reading the book. In fact I think I have skipped reading Walter Mosley books since 1992. ( when I read this one)
