The two relationships are wonderful foils to eachother. Every version I've seen of this - simply read in my Shakespeare class, performed as intended, the Kenneth Brannaugh directed version of the movie, and even an Indian themed production of it - have been wonderful. I love the Beatrice and Benedict relationship, but the other aspects of it are very good too. My favorite part, I must say, is...more

This is hands-down, no-contest, my absolute favorite. It's reason why I got into Shakespeare and, on a weird side note, why I got into the show "House" (the actor who plays Claudio in the 1993 movie version plays Wilson on "House." I'm still kicking myself for missing the free production of it a couple years back at the Common in Boston =(
