Much Ado About Nothing

Like most of Shakespeare's plays, so I'm not your average reviewer here, you'll mostly read praise. Comic timing, wonderful meter and rhyme, probably a shorter and easier read than many of his plays. Give'er a go.

My favourite Shakespearean comedy....

Was okay...it's a classic, so I guess it's worth reading.

This is my favorite of Shakespeare's comedies. It's a wonderful selection to use when teaching the different types of irony. Plus I like to use this play with high schoolers because it doesn't come off quite so high-brow. They relate to the characters, misunderstandings, gossip, love triangles. This is my favorite of Shakespeare's comedies. It's a wonderful selection to use when teaching the different types of irony. Plus I like to use this play with high schoolers because it doesn't come off quite so high-brow. They relate to the characters, misunderstandings, gossip, love triangles. And on the more seriously academic side of things, the play also illustrates Shakespeare's skill with language and sophisticated understanding of human nature which makes him so universally applicable.   hide
