I first read this at A Level. And loved it. It is, poetically, one of Shakespeare's best works. And through Isabel women from all walks and times can learn something about themselves and the nature of their sex.

The play Measure for measure is full of twists, turns, and trickery.Many of the issues raised are real and happens even in our lives to-day,has plenty of both things 
to think about and things to laugh about.

My favorite play of Shakespeare's.  It really explores the ideas of power, authority, right and wrong, and sex as a weapon. The ending is very unsettling which makes it even better, in my opinion.  The Duke interests me the most.  He can be seen as a "fatherly" figure, or as a manipulator.  All in all, a great play.

I am still not sure of what happend... the only thing that I realize is that the sister would rather have her brother dead than loose her virginity! What a bitch!

I find analysis on this play's characters, ethics, and hypocrisy more interesting than the play itself.  It has its moments.    Definitely not his best.

I read this for my Shakespeare class at Piedmont... Definitely a bizarre play. Not sure what I think about it. I wouldn't say its my favorite Shakespeare play. But it was interesting anyway

Not as poetic as Antony and Cleopatra, but more humorous, and it has great plot! Good characters, but some are just a bit...dull?
