We haven't seen the movie, but the book is a great read. Interesting themes, great language, that is a pleasure to read aloud, and i think the phrasing and vocab and insights probably stretched my kids in the way you hope a book will. Right after we picked up the Adventure of Edward Tulane, which i found even better.

duh my wife acted as princess pea in this novel so of course i got a copy to read , what struck me was the darkness of this animation, it's like hpotter in a way, the darkness/sadness is not toned down just because the audience are kids.
good movie,good book, good acting.
