Neverwhere: The Author's Preferred Text

It's all right. Not Mr. Gaiman's best work in my opinion - it's a bit bitty and just doesn't seem to get going. Characters seem to be pale imitations of other characters far better described in other stories but there are some interesting ideas buried in the text. For a similar type of story, I much preferred China Mieville's Un Dun Lun Dun

I recommend this book to anyone who is a fan of Douglas Adams, Terry Pratchett, or Jasper Fforde. It is fascinating, funny, dark, thought-provoking.

Fabulous blend of fable, folklore and modernity.

Absolutely brilliant, so addictive I couldn't put it down. And I did laugh out loud a few times which drew gazes from those nearby!
