He's a full-bore Jungian psychopomp, a Green Man/Herne the Hunter figure that trades 3 allegories for Conor's truth. Emotionally wrenching and occasionally scary horror for the Young Adult set.

I had no idea what to expect when I picked up this book. Part mystery...part fairytale...part adventure...and, if you can believe it, part self-help. This book creatively weaves itself through a child's dreams and nightmares, as well as the grieving process, as he comes to grips the loss of his mother. Told with care and adventure, this book was a great find.
