Disappointed with the ending to be truthful. Everything leading up to it was magnificent. I just felt the way I usually do with the ending of a particularly long adventure, the author just got towards the end and ran out of steam. He knew where he was going with the story, but there were too many loose ends for me! Since their introduction, some people in the story are so pristinely ungifted that magic simply does not exist for them. I was confused when Richards brother, the "healer" manipulated the lines of life to heal Cara... If he was a Pillar of Creation then surely he would not have been able to affect these lines. Terry did the exact same thing at the end of the book. Those pristinely ungifted should not have heard Richards call and the solution should not have applied to them! Rant over, enjoyed the buildup but the end let it down.   hide

Good finish to the series. I also liked the tie in with the Law of Nines.

i waited seven bloody years for this book and it was so worth it

an exciting conclusion to a saga that started with one rule. this book keeps you on the edge of your seat and your not even in a movie theater! you wont want to put this one down. one of the very best books terry has put out. it almost makes me sad that they are going to ruin it by putting these into an episodic tv show.

What a fantastic way to end a series... I gotta admit when I finished reading it, i called my friend and gave her a play by play of the whole book, thoroughly ruining the surprises for her. The way the entire series (all the mysteries left unvieled) came together perfectly leaving me saying Oh My God! repeatedly while slapping the arm of ym chair. I love in the ending how it gives ties to have ti could one day somehow become a modern day kind of thing... Which also makes me sad, because now I wish there was some ulternate universe with magic THAT I'M NOT IN!!!! -tears- Grats to Goodkind for opening a world of possibility to peoples imaginations (And thank you, THANK YOU! for letting us see Gratch once more, even if it was briefly.   hide

Though the ending wasn't quite what i was expecting, I did like how this book tied back in to the first. I knew there had to be some big amazing event that would save them all, but what actually happened was a bit of a shock! Loved it! Not quite the ending i was expecting, but still fantastic!

Twas a nice journey, but once again Terry Goodkind has proven to be overly repetative. I GET IT KAHLEN LOVES RICHARD AND HE LOVES HER STOP TELLING ME. Geez!

A fantastic end to the 11 book Sword of Truth series. Even though I was supposed to be working on school work, I couldn't help myself and read it right away anyway. With not so subtle allegories to modern questions about how we choose to live our lives, and believe what we believe, Terry Goodkind has masterfully created a story that makes you think as well as entertains. The series begins with "Wizard's First Rule," and is well worth the time it takes to read 11 books.   hide

Can't even begin to imagine what Goodkind will write next, this series is just so profound. I finished the book about a week ago and I've still got some of the lines running through my head.
