Definitely on the way to wrapping up the series.Still very preachy - half of the first 100 pages was recapping Goodkind's version of free will.

It seems that instead of solving long lasting problems Goodkind introduced even more. (plot spoil) The chainfire spell is left unresolved and Kahlan (the second most interesting character) is essentially useless and uninteresting for the rest of the series. As I recall Richard also looses his war wizard powers. This was another alternative to the author actually dealing with all the detail he had...more

hmmm...pretty good. altho really do we need more lectures on the evils of the thinking of the Imperial Order? get on with the action already!
