Excellent book on letting go, combining Buddhist and psychotherapeutic perspectives, especially that of Winnicott.

I've always been interested in both Buddhism and psychology, and was so delighted at how Epstein merged these two ideas so seamlessly.

This book offers a fantastic look at dealing with your problems of integration, conflict, etc. with a Buddhist perspective. It offered me a lot of comfort in trying times.

happy I read it...this information was more clear for me coming from the mouth of an english speaking insider...rather than from a Tibetan teacher...loved the stories...loved the view on the western & eastern solutions to a scattered mindset...

Author is a psychotherapist & buddhist, and has written a number of books that explore the intersections between the two. Good starter book for someone like me who is not religious, but interested in exploring buddhism, and understanding it using a familiar point of reference.

All counseling psychologists should be required to read Mark Epstein. You don't have to be a Buddhist to appreciate his amazing insight into human emotion and his compassionate, soothing tone.
