Fascinating scientific study on a tendril of Beethoven's hair that was bought; some strands were donated to conduct tests to see if they could determine the cause of his deafness and madness. Lots of neat findings.

This book has more traditional history than I was prepared to endure - I was thinking it would focus more on music history. Regardless, interesting situations about Beethoven were presented, but the reader is left wondering what to take as truth and what to brush off, given that there are no sources cited throughout the book, though it is written, and appears to be, a non-fiction work.

A fascinating historical mystery that combines music, religion, curiosity and science across time.

Loved it...the science behind it and the insights into Beethoven were wonderful.

I have never read a biography written this way.. It is hard to read book.. but beautiful!!!
