Mitch Albom is more of a journalistic writer (obviously, since that was what he did/does for a living) than an author, and his writing is evidence of that. His writing is pretty void of fluff and flowers, which is great for people who perhaps don't like reading novels. It's a simple read that you can get through in just a day or two - not to mention, it's a true story that will touch your heart and will hopefully make you think about the way you're living.
