Loved it! For those of us who grew up in the fifties -- this is a trip down memory lane and what it was like to grow up then. I was frequently caught laughing out loud!
Funny -- dead on with reflections of what it wasa like to grow up in the 50's / early 60's. Bryson is a "laugh out loud" funny writer!!
This was a good book - but I think what I liked better was giving it as a gift to my dad, who then shared it with his dad, and then his brother got it - - I think it really struck them more than me in terms of the lifestyle and hometown ethic they all lived in the 50s.... Great gift!
