I thought this was going to be awesome, but it was just alright.

Love the first note to her sister. "You mythical creature..."

Delightful historical fiction -- a lushly painted story, fully evocative of the glories and the pitfalls of the period. Absolutely compelling.

Interesting in parts and not in others. Lots of intrigue... perhaps too much, although this may be a fault of the Italian Renaissance and not the author. :o)

A bit slow moving, but good. A telling story about the rivalry of two sisters.

Fun, historical (sort of) novel that had me googling DaVinci's paintings and drawings to compare to descriptions in the book.

Good insight into Leonardo's time. I enjoyed the intrigues and the history tour. The author provides good portrayal of human nature too: greed, vanity, the quest for power. A good read for a plane ride.
