Interesting read for the animal lover in all of us. Dr. Nick Trout lets us all in on a single day in his hectic life as an animal surgeon. This book is filled with anecdotes and also good information on the background of the veterinary practice.

enjoyable read, touches on issues which I thought should be expanded in a more thought-provoking way. 

has several good stories for animal lovers.

has some mention of veterinary industry problems (compensation, insurance, student debt).

I loved this book.  It really illustrates what our Vets go through in taking care of our beloved furry friends.  Some of the stories are really funny, though true.  I highly recommend for all animal lovers.
