more This was an interesting novel. It is told from the husband's point of view with the wife is dying of cancer. The story involves the 10 things she would like to do that year. I needed to skip many of the river descriptions as just too outdoorsy for me, but he did a good job in describing the cancer and treatments in between sections of their river trip. There is gratuitous violence in the story. Something I don't think was necessary for the plot line and certainly didn't help the story along, except to introduce a character that would not have been needed. I think men and outdoor women would enjoy this book. Anyone with a love one with cancer may or may not like the story line, because we have lived it.
