Where the River Ends

I love this man! His books are wonderful. Touching story of what a husband should do when his wife fights cancer and has a 'bucket list'. He helps her do all she can on the list before she dies. Well worth the read.

What a tear jerker.. but well worth the tears.

This was an interesting novel. It is told from the husband's point of view with the wife is dying of cancer. The story involves the 10 things she would like to do that year. I needed to skip many of the river descriptions as just too outdoorsy for me, but he did a good job in describing the cancer and treatments in between sections of their river trip. This was an interesting novel. It is told from the husband's point of view with the wife is dying of cancer. The story involves the 10 things she would like to do that year. I needed to skip many of the river descriptions as just too outdoorsy for me, but he did a good job in describing the cancer and treatments in between sections of their river trip. There is gratuitous violence in the story. Something I don't think was necessary for the plot line and certainly didn't help the story along, except to introduce a character that would not have been needed. I think men and outdoor women would enjoy this book. Anyone with a love one with cancer may or may not like the story line, because we have lived it.   hide

I loved this book from beginning to end. It's very sad but the story of love between these two people is just tear-jerking and heart warming!

a story of love that is priceless. This story is from a Man's point of view and his undying love for a woman when life around them is crumbling. It is amazing as well as heart breaking. A must read for all.

One of my favorite books! It's a tear jerker but I really enjoyed the way he writes. He is a lot like Nicholas Sparks in his sensitivity.
