I happened to pick this book up when the Borders near me was closing and ended up finishing it in about four sittings. I loved it. It was a fresh take on zombies, plus it was funny and had hints of romance. It was cleverly written and definitely made me want to check out future books by S.G. Browne.

So, I thought it was a really interesting concept. I just didn't like the main character that much. I would have preferred if the book had been told from various zombie's points of view. It was enjoyable and quick read though. I did like the ending, it kicked major ass.
Tough to be unbiased since this book was written by a friend. But this is a terrific dark comedy fiction. Never ventured into the zombie genre before. But, this was definitely a fun read and made me love my first time in the world of zombies.
This book was creepy at times but mostly funny and clever. Well written, entertaining storyline, great characters (I loved Jerry haha). I found myself devouring (hehe) many pages at a time as it was easy to read and a good story to get into. The end of the book is true zombie horror but instead of running for your human life, you're cheering on this group of rogue...more
You can read it as a thin analogy of the civil rights movement, a comic horror story of even a cookbook (the recipes actually work although with an alternative meat). But by all means read it. Funny, quirky yet believable once you accept the premise.
