The prolific Ms. Hamilton's vampire hunter precedes Buffy and deserves both the interest and respect of current vamp-obsessives. A mid-tale graphic novel is not the best place to start, but if you fancy some procedural crime-thriller tropes with your supernatural romance you could do worse than Anita Blake.

Yep another gory one. There was almost too much going on in the story, but I guess it came together at the end. Nothing like reading these in the reverse order.
