I appreciated the message but I'm not a girly girl who grew up imagining her wedding day and being whisked away by a handsome prince. I watched Buffy and Xena. I wanted to be a mutant with superpower like X-men. You can learn from this book, for sure, but it's not fair to say it adequately reflects all women.

I have read this book multiple times and each time it speaks to me in a different way depending on where I am in my life. Regardless though, each time I finish this book I feel like such a princess.
