Another fantastic book by C.S. Lewis. Definitely not a children's book... even adults might have difficulties to get the meaning of this wonderful book.

After reading Phantasties by 
George MacDonald - this book is not nearly as good.  It is Lewis' attempt at what MacDonald already did.  Read this before MacDonald... but read them both!

One of the harder reads, this was C.S. Lewis' first book after converting to Christianity. While it definitely does not measure up to Bunyan's classic, it is a powerful twist of perspective for those raised in a Christian setting opposed to those coming from the Land of Destruction.

A great book.  I wanted to produce a version of this for the stage or screen, but maybe when I retire.  My favorite part is actually the afterword wherein Lewis discusses romanticism(in it's classical sense) and the painful delight of (my paraphrase) having a God-shaped emptiness within.
