Funny little satire of small "town" life. The highlight was fortunately the central character of the book -- Russell Hokes. The delivery of his outlandish thoughts and statements carried the book. You could practically hear Stephen Colbert as you read the book. Past Hokes, some of the other characters were hit or miss, but I would definitely read anything written by Paul...more

If you like the Strangers With Candy humor, this is more of the good stuff.

Wigfield! It's an unincorporated trailer park of a town situated in the dried up reservoir of an old dam!This book is pretty damn funny. I listened to the audio book, which is performed by the authors (the strangers with candy nutballs).

I really liked this book, but it was so difficult to NOT hear Dinello, Colbert, and Sedaris's voices coming through. I felt like they were reading me a spinoff of Strangers With Candy. Granted... I still laughed out loud.
