Paths of Darkness (Forgotten Realms Novel: Paths of Darkness)

Good trilogy. I didn't liked it as much as the other trilogies though.

great series if you're a Salvatore or a Drizzt fan

Artimis is really fleshed out here a lot, and the characters (new and old) and locals are among the most interesting in the series IMO.

Probably the most serious of Salvatore's novels that feature Drizzt (though he is absent from Servant of the Shard). The writing at points is often dark and brooding, especially in "The Spine of the World."
