This was my absolute favorit of the trilogy even though it didn't get much air play. Perhaps the concept of the kingdom of God is too much to even think about. Salvation & Hell are somehow more important. WHAT!!!

McClaren does the important work of bringing contemporary science and evangelical faith into a dialogue; unfortunately the literary device of embedding this dialogue in a fictional story begins to wear thin. Nevertheless, there is some very moving writing on death and what it means on a cosmic scale.
